Therapist profile

I am an NCPS accredited, trauma informed integrative counsellor and psychotherapist. I provide support for adults, teenagers and children from 9 years for a wide range of presenting issues, with a special interest in trauma, grief and traumatic loss.

I am passionate about supporting people who are feeling stuck, unable to fully connect to themselves and their lives, and are unsure how to move forward. Together, we can gently explore your difficulties, strengths and hopes to enable you to meet your goals.

Our work can support you to better understand your triggers and develop different ways to respond to distressing thoughts, feelings, images, and uncomfortable body sensations to help you feel more in control. I can help you process your traumatic experiences so they can become a memory of something that has happened in the past rather than something you are reliving in the present, and can help you work through your grief and find ways to grow around it.

I will meet you with empathy, humour, honesty and non-judgement and will honour your thoughts and feelings so we can work together at a pace that feels safe for you. I offer an inclusive space where you feel respected and valued; I am LGBTQ+ affirming, and have substantial experience in supporting neurodivergent individuals.

My core modality is person-centred, however working in an integrative way allows us to draw on different techniques to suit your individual needs. This could include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-based Brief Therapy (SBFT) and creative approaches.

Children and Teenagers

I have over 20 years’ experience working with children and teenagers and offer developmentally appropriate support to develop self-acceptance, new ways to respond to challenges and develop healthy coping strategies.

I am experienced in supporting a wide range of issues and can effectively support: abuse, anxiety, body image, eating difficulties, gender, grief & loss, intrusive thoughts, low mood/depression, school avoidance, self-esteem, self-harm, sexuality, suicidal thoughts, trauma.
